Casanares, Colombia – The partnership between GeoPark and the Colombia Somos Todos, James Rodriguez Foundation allowed 200 children and young people from Tauramena and Villanueva to enhance their social skills through recreation and sports. For two consecutive years, this initiative supported the youngest neighbors of the Llanos 34 block in setting life goals through high-performance sports training processes.

Since 2018, this partnership fostered inclusive environments and spaces that allow children between the ages of 5 and 14 to make good use of their free time and enhance their all-round growth. Thanks to the implementation of innovative methodologies, the children received training on issues related to leadership, mental strength, healthy use of free time, and soccer, among others. The activities carried out within the framework of this partnership contributed to improving school performance, physical performance and interpersonal relationships of the youngest neighbors of the Llanos 34 block

At the end-of-program virtual ceremony, representatives of the Foundation highlighted participants’ commitment and dedication, and encouraged the children to make use of the skills and competencies they developed to continue dreaming big.

GeoPark Neighbor Relations leader Sergio Eugenio, in addition to congratulating the children, youth and families of Casanare for their dedication during these two years, reiterated the Company’s commitment to continue with initiatives that promote the all-round development of its youngest neighbors.
