70 people attended the talk given by GeoPark and the SPE Comahue Student Chapter.

Neuquen, Argentina - GeoPark gave a technical talk to 70 students on “Monitoring and supervision in fields with secondary recovery” in coordination with the Comahue Student Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) on September 11.

In the fourth event of a series of talks, GeoPark engineer Sofia Malamud covered basic principles of waterflooding, recovery methods, operational efficiency of secondary recovery projects, monitoring and supervision, and pattern balancing, as well as sharing her own academic and professional experiences.

“GeoPark has been sharing with us its experience and knowledge, which are of great value to us as students nearing the end of the degree,” said Karen Quidel, a member of the steering committee of the SPE Comahue Student Chapter. Students from institutions elsewhere in Argentina and the region also attended.
