GeoPark and Villanueva Mayor’s Office carry out COVID-19 prevention campaign in Caribayona

Villanueva, Casanare, Colombia – GeoPark continues to be committed to the wellbeing of its neighbors in the Llanos 34 block during the health emergency, and together with the Villanueva Mayor’s Office has carried out a prevention campaign in the Caribayona area of the municipality, in the south of Casanare department

For more than six hours, a team of health professionals, civil servants and GeoPark professionals trained more than 700 Caribayona inhabitants in the most effective measures for preventing the spread of COVID-19. More than 700 units of alcohol gel and 2,000 face masks were distributed to promote self-care among the company’s neighbors.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, GeoPark has donated more than 2,000 aid parcels, benefitting nearly 600 Casanare families. The Company will continue to cooperate with local authorities to overcome this health emergency, demonstrating its commitment to the care and integrity of all its workers and neighbors.
