To share the results of GeoPark’s operational and socio-environmental management in Casanare during the first quarter of the year, GeoPark held a new edition of its Meetings for Transparency in Tauramena and Villanueva municipalities. Representatives of municipal authorities participated in the meetings, which are part of the Company’s dialogue and relationship strategy.

These discussions have been held since GeoPark started work in Casanare in 2012, and are an opportunity for the Company’s operational, social, labor, environmental and safety leaders to share a balance news of management and results, as well as resolving the concerns and expectations of different stakeholders.

In the latest meeting, GeoPark’s newly appointed manager of Nature and Neighbors, Aníbal Fernández de Soto, said, “We thank the local authorities for their assistance and participation in these meetings. We believe that this type of space that promotes dialogue, open communication, participation, and fundamentally feedback, is essential in consolidating relationships of trust and transparency in Villanueva and Tauramena.” These initiatives show GeoPark’s willingness and commitment to work with local institutions to jointly build a legacy of prosperity in the territories, Fernández continued.

Through actions such as these, GeoPark reaffirms its commitment to good neighborliness and permanent dialogue with its stakeholders. The Company will continue to carry out actions that promote the creation of value in the territory to ensure the responsible and sustained development of its operations.
