GeoPark takes fourth place in Oil and Fuel ESG ranking

Leading Latin American oil and gas exploration and production company GeoPark is Colombia’s fourth most responsible company in the Hydrocarbon Production and Fuel Distribution sector, according to the 2023 Merco ESG Responsibility ranking.

Becoming part of this select group, along with industry-leading companies such as Ecopetrol, Cenit, Terpel and Chevron, reflects GeoPark’s strong commitment to promoting sustainable development in every aspect of its operation. For its 2023 ranking, Merco conducted more than 80,000 surveys to determine the perception of financial analysts, NGO representatives, steering committees of the country’s largest companies, members of the government, business journalists and other opinion leaders about the environmental, social, and corporate governance commitment of companies operating in Colombia.

Companies highlighted in the 2023 Merco ranking include Bancolombia, Grupo Nutresa, Crepes & Waffles, Alpina, Sura, Organización Corona, Bavaria, Ecopetrol, Alqueria and Grupo Argos. To see the full results of the Merco ESG Responsibility Ranking, click here.
