GeoPark receives the highest provisional score for its bid for the Corralera Noreste Block in Round 1/2026 of the Neuquen Exploration Plan

GeoPark announces that, according to the information released by Gas y Petroleo del Neuquen S.A. (“GyP”) on September 16, it received the highest provisional score for its bid for the Corralera Noreste block as part of Round 1/2026 of the Neuquén Exploration Plan conducted by GyP. 

The bidding process began on August 19 with the opening of Envelope “A,” corresponding to the bidders’ technical and financial qualifications and other requirements. Following this evaluation stage, GeoPark was qualified to continue in the process.  

Yesterday, Envelope “B,” containing the economic proposals submitted by the qualified bidders, was opened. According to the provisional scores reported by GyP, GeoPark’s proposal received the highest provisional score for the Corralera Noreste block. 

From this stage, GyP will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the proposals and prepare a pre-award report, which will be submitted to GyP’s Board of Directors for final determination. Should the Board resolve to award the block, the corresponding contractual and administrative procedures will follow. 

GeoPark will provide a further update on any material decision once the relevant stages of the award process have been completed.
