To mark World Environment Day, GeoPark has shared details of its recent environmental management from the Company’s 2025 SPEED/Sustainability Report.

Fulfilling the corporate goal of reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity by 2025 was a major milestone. Through energy efficiency, methane management and access to cleaner energy, GeoPark reduced the intensity of its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 35% between 2020 and 2025, from 14.3 kgCO₂e/boe to 9.3 kgCO₂e/boe.

During this period, initiatives such as the electrification of the Llanos 34 block, the commissioning of a 10MW solar plant, and an intensive methane leak detection and repair program contributed to reducing the Company’s environmental footprint and generating savings of some US$70 million.

GeoPark has reduced its methane emissions by 86% in the last five years, as confirmed in December 2025 by the independent firm InsightM, which after evaluating 30 facilities and nearly 60 kilometers of pipelines concluded that there are zero significant leaks in the Companys operations in Colombia.

Water efficiency, monitoring and analysis initiatives have given GeoPark a better understanding of the relationship between water, ecosystems and productive activities, enabling the Company to strengthen its responsible water management. GeoPark continues to verify its water footprint under the ISO 14046 standard, and in 2025 reduced water withdrawal per barrel of crude produced by 20% through wastewater reuse projects and more efficient drilling technologies.

In biodiversity, GeoPark continued to expand knowledge about the ecosystems in the territories where it operates. During the last seven years, environmental monitoring programs have facilitated the collection of over 180,000 flora and fauna records, information that strengthens conservation decision-making.

These efforts have been complemented by projects undertaken with the Humboldt Institute, the Sinchi Institute and the Orinoquía Biodiversa Foundation, which aim to deepen scientific knowledge about biodiversity and ecosystem services in the areas where the Company operates.

As part of this approach, GeoPark became an Early Adopter of the TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) framework, an international initiative that promotes the incorporation of nature-related risks and opportunities into decision-making.
