Together, our Sustainability Framework and our Integrated Environment Management Model define GeoPark’s strategic approach to socio-environmental management. The aim of the approach is to strengthen the relationship with our neighbors, protect nature and ensure the social and environmental viability of our operations, contributing to sustainable development and energy supply to the world.
EARLY MANAGEMENT OF THE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT
From the earliest stages of our projects, we design and implement strategies to identify, analyze and act proactively in the face of socio-political, community and human rights risks. We rely on monitoring, dialogue, and prevention tools to build trust, respond quickly to challenges from the social environment, and ensure the legitimacy of our presence in each territory.
DIALOGUE AND PARTICIPATION TO GROW TOGETHER
We develop permanent opportunities for participation, social dialogue and consultation with communities, authorities and other stakeholders. We believe in the power of genuine conversations to build strong, respectful, and transparent relationships that allow us to move forward together, drive development, and respond closely to the expectations of the social environment, in line with our commitment to human rights.
RESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT OF OUR VALUE CHAIN
We work together with our suppliers and contractors to meet the highest environmental, social, safety and quality standards. Our efficient, ethical and committed supply chain consolidates processes that strengthen sustainability, promote continuous improvement and ensure the long-term success of our business and the territories we operate in.
SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTMENT WITH LASTING IMPACT
We align our social and environmental investment with our Sustainability Framework and the needs of our neighboring communities and the objectives of our operation, focusing on improving quality of life, strengthening economic autonomy, developing community infrastructure, and promoting environmental protection. Our purpose is clear: to leave a legacy that transcends our operational presence and generates long-term sustainable impact.
At GeoPark, we focus our social and environmental investment strategically, aligned with our Sustainability Framework and the needs of our neighboring communities. This approach enables us to generate sustainable impacts and leave a legacy that transcends our operational presence.
We put all our effort and energy into creating value for our neighbors and making Good Neighborliness a reality. Our work demonstrates that the growth of our company sits in harmony with the social development of the territories we operate in. Cuéntame is GeoPark’s grievance mechanism, designed to strengthen dialogue with communities in our areas of influence. The channel makes raising a grievance accessible, timely and secure, with coverage that includes vulnerable populations and with the possibility of submitting cases anonymously. Cuéntame is part of our Human Rights System and complies with the principles of accessibility, confidentiality, objectivity and continuous improvement, as established by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Respect for human rights guides GeoPark’s relationship with neighboring communities and all stakeholders in the territories we operate in. Our Human Rights Policy, updated in 2025, incorporates the social, economic and environmental details of each local context, and is aligned with the United Nations Guiding Principles. We base our actions on principles such as respect, recognition, dialogue, cooperation, protection and communication, ensuring environments free of discrimination and violence, and promoting genuine and constructive relationships with communities.
At GeoPark, our relationships with communities and other stakeholders are built on respect, transparency, and accountability. To ensure that each interaction is aligned with our Human Rights Policy, we use specific protocols that guide the conduct of our teams and contractors in different social and territorial contexts. These guidelines ensure coherent, ethical and respectful management in each territory we operate in.
GeoPark understands that strong relationships with our neighboring communities need more than good intentions – they require structure, consistency, and shared responsibility. Accordingly, we use a governance model to guide our relationships by aligning principles, protocols and processes at all levels of the organization. Through this framework, we strengthen trust, provide opportunities, and generate shared value in the territories we operate in.
