Media Room >GeoPark activates response protocol after heavy rainfall in CasanareCasanare, ColombiaJuly 22, 2025 After recent heavy rains that have caused floods, landslides and warnings, GeoPark has activated its prevention and response protocol to protect people and the environment and guarantee the safety and continuity of its operations. The protocol includes constantly monitoring water levels, defining evacuation processes and routes, securing facilities if activities are temporarily suspended, and permanent communication with environmental and risk management authorities. The Occupational Health and Safety team has furthermore instructed all its own personnel and contractors on the actions to be taken in the event of any contingency, prioritizing the protection of people and the prevention of environmental impacts.
