GeoPark and the Colombia Civil Patrol hold first joint medical brigade in Puerto GaitanNovember 22, 2025 With the support of the Puerto Gaitan Mayor’s Office, GeoPark and the Colombian Civil Air Patrol (PAC) have provided the town’s first-ever free-of-charge health drive, benefiting hundreds of people.On November 21-22, volunteer professionals provided specialized health services to address priority needs, strengthening health provision in Puerto Gaitan by making it easier for thecommunity to access timely, quality care. Over 700 medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and procedures were provided in fields such as optometry, pediatrics, and dermatology. Services included ultrasounds, nutrition advice, rapid testing, PSA screening, and subdermal contraceptive methods. Outpatient dermatology treatments were also performed, addressing clinical issues at an early stage.This first health drive in Puerto Gaitan marks a new milestone in the partnership between GeoPark and the PAC, which since 2017 has provided specialized medical services to communities in Casanare, Putumayo and Meta. The partnership has allowed over 11,400 people to access timely, dignified healthcare without economic or geographical obstacles, consolidating a community health model that meets the needs of the territories where GeoPark operates.Facilitating access to specialized services is a critical part of improving our neighboring communities’ well-being and quality of life.
