The latest edition of the ‘Good News, Good Neighbors’ newsletter provides a summary of GeoPark’s management and contracting, building on the Company’s transparent relations and engagement with communities, authorities and strategic partners.In January-April 2025, GeoPark held over 160 dialogue opportunities with communities and local authorities in Casanare, Meta and Putumayo, and received more than 800 visits to its Cuéntame offices in Casanare and Putumayo to actively listen to its stakeholders’ concerns, developing both dialogue and closer relations.More than 80% of the more than 1,600 workers who were hired to support GeoPark operations in the three departments are local. GeoPark also signed goods and services procurement agreements with over 100 local companies, strengthening its value chain and promoting business development in the regions.SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTSProviding almost 7,000 study kits to children from areas neighboring operations in the three departments95% progress in building the Puerto Bello School (Puerto Asis, Putumayo), and completing improvements to six rural schools in Puerto AsisSupporting the education of over 520 students in seven rural locations in Casanare, in partnership with the Escuela Nueva Foundation42% progress in building the Orinoquia Regional Monitoring Center in Villavicencio, Meta, in partnership with IDEAMContributing over 59,200 biodiversity records to SiB Colombia after monitoring flora and fauna in Casanare, Meta, and Putumayo97% progress in the construction of a Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Caribayona, repairs to 17.5 km of the La Vara-Soceagro road in Villanueva, and strengthening road bridges in Casanare, in coordination with the regional government and ParexProgress of more than 60% in installing solar PV systems in rural areas of Monterrey and Paz de Ariporo, and 70% in providing furniture and cultural elements to 39 schools in Hato Corozal and La Salina.
