GeoPark’s contribution to ecological recovery in Ecuador wins recognition

GeoPark, a leading independent energy company with more than 20 years of successful operations across Latin America, has been awarded the “Green Initiative” recognition by Ecuador’s Ministry of Environment and Energy.
The recognition was in the “Landscape harmony with a green approach: forestation, reforestation, revegetation and forest restoration” category and highlights the “Reforestation of native species in Llano Grande and Laguna Seca” project through which GeoPark helped to recover ecosystems affected by forest fires in 2024, strengthening local biodiversity and Ecuador’s ecological resilience.
