GeoPark holds consultative meetings with its neighbors in Tauramena

Tauramena, Casanare – To continue promoting good neighborliness through dialogue, active listening and transparent communication, in the first week of December GeoPark held meetings with municipal authorities, local businessmen and neighboring communities of Tauramena to present its 2020 performance and resolve concerns related to its operations.

Mayor Tele Amaya actively participated in these meetings, which acknowledged the Company’s commitment to hiring local companies and workers to help them develop. Progress was made in defining a joint work agenda that will allow the continued generation of benefits for all and further contributions to regional development.

One of the highlights of these sessions was holding GeoPark’s traditional Encuentro por la Transparencia. In this space, leaders of the Company’s operational, administrative and environmental areas presented their performance results to the Mayor, members of his office, councilors and community leaders. At the end of the meeting, the municipal council gave an award to GeoPark for its support, collaboration and commitment during its eight years of operations in Tauramena.

Through these actions, GeoPark reaffirms its commitment to good neighborliness. The Company will continue to work hand in hand with the municipal administration and its neighboring communities to ensure regional progress and the responsible development of its operations.
