GeoPark is a 2023 Portafolio Awards finalist

GeoPark, a leading Latin American oil and gas explorer, operator and consolidator that has worked in Colombia since 2012, is proud to be a finalist in the Corporate Social Responsibility category of the prestigious 2023 Portafolio Awards.

This honor is based on the successful execution of the “Sustainable Territorial Transformation” program, which reflects the Company’s commitment to the development of the regions it operates in. The program covers social investment projects on three fronts:

1. Promoting the well-being and quality of life of its neighboring communities: initiatives that provide decent living conditions and reduce multidimensional poverty indicators.

2. Comprehensive education of children and adolescents: partnerships with institutions such as the Batuta National Foundation, the Braian Angola Foundation and the National Open and Distance University (UNAD) that create opportunities for sports and cultural training, and higher education

3. Leadership for peacebuilding: working with the Foundation for Reconciliation and the Javeriana University of Cali, the Company provides training to social leaders in Putumayo, contributing to creating peace, peaceful coexistence and strengthening the social fabric

The commitment to eliminate barriers to access education, build peaceful territories in regions affected by violence and improve the living conditions of Colombian families reflects GeoPark’s strong work in sustainable territorial development and reducing social gaps in the regions of Colombia where it operates.

GeoPark is delighted that these initiatives that contribute to the construction of a more prosperous country are highlighted in the Portafolio Awards, Colombia’s most important recognition of companies that have surpassed expectations and averages in their respective sectors and surroundings.
