Media Room >GeoPark posts zero recordable vehicular incidents in Colombia operations in 2025January 14, 2026 GeoPark totaled over 16 million kilometers travelled in 2025 without any vehicular incidents associated with operations. Training programs, driver certification and prevention campaigns contributed to the achievement.Highlights of GeoPark’s road safety management in 2025 include zero recordable vehicle incidents associated with operations; the result of a comprehensive strategy that combines training, prevention campaigns in the territories, and coordination with sector partners.Vehicles associated with GeoPark’s operation traveled more than 16 million kilometers in 2025, at an average of 207 vehicles per day and with 2,291 certified drivers, who received 1,664 hours of training focused on safe driving, self-care and fatigue management. In the area of prevention activities, GeoPark developed 53 road safety campaigns, of which it led three itself and 50 were carried out with contractors and strategic partners such as Parex, Frontera, Tecpetrol and Vitol. These awareness initiatives were held in Villanueva, Barranca de Upia, Cabuyaro and Puerto Gaitan, and strengthened the road safety culture in the areas where the Company operates. The campaigns – framed in messages such as “Turn lights on, don’t take risks” and “Getting home is also celebrating” – promoted road safety, active rest, responsible driving and the prevention of risks associated with speed, fatigue and alcohol consumption, especially during periods of greater road use such as the holiday season. These activities and their results clearly show how road safety is part of GeoPark’s responsibility to operate with excellence and create prosperity in the territory. “Creating Value and Giving Back also means protecting life on the roads. Our operation must ensure safe mobility for our drivers, our neighboring communities, and ecosystems. That’s why we invest in training, promote a culture of prevention, and work closely with local authorities to make road safety a reality in our areas of operation,” GeoPark Health and Safety Manager Carlos Gomez said.During the holiday season and the beginning of the year, when travel and celebrations increase, GeoPark reiterated its call to drivers, pedestrians and other road users to make protecting lives a priority by respecting speed limits, traffic rules, and wildlife crossings. In 2026, GeoPark underscores how road safety is a constant priority in its operation and commits to continue to promote responsible transport in coordination with all road users, neighboring communities, local authorities and energy sector partners.
