Media Room >GeoPark presents the results of its 2025 socio-environmental management in ColombiaDecember 18, 2025 The Company highlights its progress in public infrastructure, education, health and community initiatives supporting territorial development in Casanare, Meta and Putumayo, with verified environmental performance and no fines or penalties during the year.GeoPark’s socio-environmental management in Casanare, Meta and Putumayo in 2025 has brought greater environmental compliance, strongerpublic infrastructure, better access to key services and has supported economic and social initiatives that contribute to territorial development. The outcomes demonstrate the Company’s commitment to Creating Value and Giving Back, reflected in projects that foster community-level prosperity, strengthen public services, and help to protect ecosystems in the areas it operatesin.GeoPark hosted 15 official visits by environmental entities in 2025, including inspections by the National Environmental Licensing Authority (ANLA) and regional corporations, and did not incur any environmental fines or penalties. GeoPark has had zero significant spills this year and has recorded over 1,300 consecutive days of safe and environmentally controlled operations in the Llanos Orientales and Putumayo, a sustained reflection of continuous improvement in processes. The Company continues to reduce water withdrawals per barrel produced, while implementingconservation measures such as monitoring wildlife, restoring habitats, donating and plantingover 21,000 trees, starting the construction of wildlife crossing points on roads in Casanare, and undertaking educational initiatives with teachers and students.GeoPark also delivered public and social projects with high territorial impact, including repairs to the Vara-Soceagro road in Villanueva in an investment of over 14 billion pesos; the final construction phase of the 18 billion peso Caribayona sewerage system and Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP); and the structural reinforcement of the Pinalito and Caribayona bridges in Casanare for over 4 billion pesos, improving mobility and productivity in the area.Through the Works for Taxes mechanism, GeoPark made improvements to schools by allocating 5.8 billion pesos to provide school furniture as well as teaching, art and cultural equipment. It also gave almost 7,000 study kits to students in Casanare, Meta, and Putumayo.GeoPark headed the 1.04 billion peso Energy Communities project that provides increased energy autonomy in rural parts of Putumayo through solar systems, biogas and ecological gardens. Corpoamazonia and the Ministry of Mines and Energy also took part in the project, which benefited 133 students and teachers in eight schools. The partnership with the Colombian Civil Air Patrol enabled medical and surgical health campaigns to be held in towns such as Puerto Gaitan and Tauramena, providing over 1,500 consultations and specialized procedures and overcoming the geographical and economic barriers historically faced by local people to accessing specialist health care.GeoPark allocated nearly 50 billion pesos in 2025 to socio-environmental investment and public infrastructure in the territories it operates in. It also strengthened its transparency policy with the Environmental Transparency Portal – available here – which shows the environmental performance indicators and reports from its operations in Colombia.“Creating Value and Giving Back means that our operation creates greater prosperity in the territories.
