Tauramena, Casanare – During the celebrations of the sixty-ninth anniversary of the Tauramena Mayor’s Office: 1951 – 2020, GeoPark was acknowledged by the local administration for its support to the municipality’s health sector.

Since the start of the health emergency, GeoPark has focused its efforts on working together with local administrations to contribute to the timely prevention of the spread of Covid-19 in the area. As part of this management, GeoPark has delivered more than 1,900 aid packages to neighboring communities in Casanare and 2,000 medical supplies for use in the health emergency.

“We thank Mayor Tele Amaya and his whole team for this acknowledgement, which is the result of joint work with the local administration,” said GeoPark Neighbor Relations leader Sergio Eugenio. “Since the beginning of the health emergency, our priority has been and will continue to be to ensure the well-being and health of our neighboring communities,” he added.

As a partner in the area and guided by its principles of good neighborliness, GeoPark will continue to contribute to the work of the Tauramena Mayor’s Office to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and contribute to the development of the health sector in the municipality to ensure the well-being of all its residents.
