Villanueva Mayors Office officially launched the Miguel Arturo Camargo Municipal Symphonic Band at an event in the town’s Central Park on November 22. This cultural project unites local children and youth through music and was made possible by our donation of instruments last year.

We provided 412 high-quality instruments and musical equipment to the project in 2024 through an investment of some 500 million pesos. This support enabled the project to develop, become well-organized and now emerge as a musical group that serves the community.

At the launch, Social Manager Cielo Rodriguez and Mayor Hector Vizcaino highlighted the work of the musicians, teachers, family members and founders, and spoke of how the band is an opportunity to develop local talent, make healthy use of free time, and strengthen the municipality’s cultural identity.

Our Nature and Neighbors Director Anibal Fernandez de Soto highlighted the value of seeing the fruits of an investment made to strengthen local opportunities. “Helping to create this symphonic band is an example of our purpose to Create Value and Give Back. We are happy to see that the more than 400 instruments that we provided have now become artistic training, discipline, cultural pride and new possibilities for the youth of Villanueva,” he said.

The launch of the Miguel Arturo Camargo Municipal Symphonic Band underscores the importance of publicprivate sector coordination to promote cultural development in the territories. Together with the Villanueva Mayors Office, we remain committed to continuing to share efforts to promote initiatives that strengthen well-being, community participation and opportunities for new generations.
