HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
ISO 45001:2018 CERTIFICATION
We have a certified Occupational Health and Safety Management System that covers 100% of our employees and contractors and is aligned with ISO 45001:2018, International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) guidelines, and local regulations in Colombia and Ecuador. The System guides how we work and allows us to identify, prioritize and manage risks, strengthening our culture of prevention and the continuous improvement of our processes.
ISO 45001:2018 CERTIFICATION
Safety Programs
We implement a range of programs and tools to preventively manage risks and promote safe behaviors.

These include:

< Proactive Observation Program (POP)
POP focuses our efforts on preventive management that identifies safe and unsafe behaviors and conditions throughout operations, with the participation and leadership of our employees and contractors. POP requires the fulfillment of a simple three-step cycle: observation, intervention, and recording. Through this process, we define the methodology to identify hazards, take action, and monitor the behaviors and conditions observed.
< Authority to Stop an Activity (ADA)
ADA is a risk prevention and task assurance tool through which all GeoPark employees and contractors, regardless of their position or function, have the responsibility to stop an activity (whatever it may be) if it is identified as unsafe or if it represents a potential risk of becoming an unwanted event.
< Security Operating Standards (SOS)
Security Operating Standards (SOS) are applicable to all our operations, based on legal requirements and industry best practices. They consist of practical, easy-to-use guides for preparing and executing high-risk work that can be implemented by any employee or contractor.
< Incident Reporting and Investigation (IRIS)
The IRIS program strengthens our culture of reporting and learning and manages incidents regardless of their severity. Through this system, we evaluate events that could affect our employees, contractors, assets or the environment, ensuring rigorous monitoring as well as opportunities for continuous improvement.
< Road safety
Transport safety is key in our operations. We implement controls and processes to minimize risks in the road transport of personnel, cargo, materials and equipment. We registered more than 16.8 million kilometers traveled without vehicular incidents in 2024, underscoring our commitment to the protection of our employees, contractors and neighbors.
HEALTH AND SAFETY GOVERNANCE
Solid and responsible Health and Safety management
Managing people’s health and safety starts at the highest level of the Company through a governance structure that includes internal and external audits, continuous review of regulatory compliance, and the adoption of international standards. This rigorous supervision ensures that our management is coherent, preventive and constantly evolving, always based on the guidelines of our Commitment to Health and Safety.
